Returning to School...

Welcome to the first Blog entry from your Headteachers. Over the coming weeks, Mrs Herron, Mr Brown and Miss Wilson will take turns to add their entries and today it is my turn!

It is always a lovely day, the first day back, as you get to see so many familiar faces and they're all super smiley at being back after so long away. Today was even better as the weather is absolutely gorgeous. You can see from the pictures how lovely the yard looks in the sunshine! You can also see our fabulous Nursey team, hard at work getting the room ready for children this afternoon. 

What I noticed most this morning as I welcomed families in was how many polite "good mornings" I got from children. Children at Canning Street are always so well-mannered and they do us a great credit when they are out in the community. This year, thankfully, we will be able to organise lots more opportunities for children to go out on trips, so we will have plenty of chances to show the city how wonderful we are.
