Our Special Visitors....

This afternoon Year 2 and Fledglings 1 were lucky enough to be visited by Mr Wilson; a man with several special and very beautiful collection of pets....an Owl family!

Year 2 have been studying the popular novel "The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark," and Fledglings 1 have read "Owl Babies" so it was a lovely surprise to see some real life owls in school. The children learned that one of the owls was a Little Own, one was a Barn Owl and one was an Eagle Owl. There was even an incredibly rare Black Barn Owl!

It is really lovely to see the children's reactions on occasions like this. The children were so caring toward the birds and awestruck at how pretty they were. We look forward to the birds returning in the future; a big Thank you to Mr Wilson for bringing in his collection!
