Brush Up Visit in Year 2

Last week Class 2 Red were lucky enough to have a visit from the ‘Brush Up’ team. The children took part in a carousel of activities about taking care of our teeth.

Activity 1 was a story about the ‘sugarbugs’ that damage our teeth and why we should brush our teeth.

Activity 2 was about how to brush our teeth properly. The children really enjoyed practising brushing the teeth of different toys using the large toothbrushes.

Activity 3 was about foods that are good and bad for our teeth. The children were really surprised by the amount of sugar in some of the foods we enjoy.

Activity 4 was about the role of dentists. The children really enjoyed dressing up as dentists and patients and looking at each other’s teeth.

The children really learned a lot from this visit and we all know that we need to brush our teeth twice a day for two minutes.
