Year 5 went to the Tyne Theatre to perform as part of the "Full of Energy! - Big Sing" project. The project was to raise awareness for energy concerns and to think about why and how to save energy. Our school was involved as well as the rest of the school's in the West End Schools Trust. Ken Patterson and Richard Scott came into our school to write a song with our children called "Have a care for the Polar Bear" based on our Arctic topic. We also contributed ideas to the "Full of Energy" song which was performed by the whole trust. It was a great day out, the children sang wonderfully and did the school proud!
